My Professional Journey

My management career has focused on providing strong systems of care to our communities.  My journey after a brief time as a staff nurse began in health care administration for hospital systems in California and Ohio.  Both were complex organizations that had recently gone through mergers.   After two years in Ohio, I transitioned to social services in two organizations providing mental health and social services.  Then I found the perfect sweet spot of community focus and health care and for 19 years, I had the privilege of serving as CEO of Neighborhood Family Practice, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio.  After I stepped down as CEO I worked in senior leadership in another large integrated care organization, while obtaining my coaching education/certification and building my practice. 

I’m a joiner with a love of good governance and role clarity.  I’ve also served on multiple boards, with leadership roles including Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. I bring all of that experience to my work with clients, especially CEOs looking to form a strong partnership with their board.

I am a lifelong learner!  I hold a BS in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health. I am also a graduate of the Weatherhead Professional Fellows Program, the UCLA Health Care Executive Program and Leadership Cleveland.  I completed the Hudson Institute of Coaching and received a Group Coaching Certificate from Group Coaching HQ.  I’m an ACC-certified coach with the International Federation of Coaching and have served dozens of clients locally and nationally.

I love partnering with leaders who are ready to grow with intention, courage, and clarity. Whether it’s improving performance, refining strategy, or building leadership presence, I believe that investing in ourselves is one of the best ways to make a lasting difference.

Life Outside the Office

I am a long term resident of Northeast Ohio and live in an old house in Cleveland Heights, that used to be my grandparent’s home. Outside of work, I’m a wife, mom to two grown sons and a step-son, and a very proud grandma. My grandson keeps me smiling, and so do my two dogs, Dahlia and Atticus, who love to help me “work” in my virtual office. I have a large extended family across the country and provide support for my elderly father, who lives locally.

I’m happiest when I’m outside, gardening, cycling, walking the dogs, or just soaking up some sunshine. I love music, good books, and new experiences in travel, entertainment and restaurants. Life’s full of little joys, and I try to make the most of them, with a mindfulness practice and an open mind.
